Pipelines

We have a wealth of experience of dealing with water, gas and oil pipelines.  In addition we are often called upon to deal with sewage schemes.

Our role invariably involves settling compensation for easements, overseeing entry to land, monitoring progress during the scheme, reinstatement of the land. Our final role is to settle the compensation payments for all outstanding matters at the end of the scheme.

The companies installing the pipeline usually pay our professional fees, therefore the Landowner or Tenants can receive professional advice for free. The pipeline companies do have varying compulsory purchase powers which enable them to lay pipelines without the Landowners consent.  The company sometimes exercises these powers but most of our work is carried out by mutual agreement.

We are currently heavily involved with advising Landowners and Tenants for the Milford Haven to Aberdulais LNG Pipeline Scheme.  This is a major scheme involving a 44m working width with many road, rail and river crossings.
